Making memories with your family is very important, and having a family game night makes some of the best. So, why not bring everyone together at the table and play some of the best family games around. From the youngest to the oldest, every member can play something from this list of the best family games I have created. I even added a few “new twists” to help increase the fun at the game table.
Kids Against Maturity
Kids Against Maturity is a fill-in-the-blank type of game to play. It made my best family games list because it is a perfect fun and hilarious way to bring your family together.
This family game includes 500 question and answer cards and a handy box to store it all in. It’s portable and can go anywhere. You can play while camping, at sleepovers, family gatherings, summer camp, plane trips, and more. The list keeps going! Take a look and see for yourself. Hey, it’ll definitely get your kids away from their phones, tablets, Fortnite, and other electronic devices.

If you have any humor in your blood, this is the family game for you. We ordered this game before we left for spring break to play when we needed a break from the beach/pool. It did not disappoint in the least. My kids, along with my nieces and nephews (ranging from 6-16), were laughing the entire time uncontrollably. The phrase possibilities are as creative and funny as you can make them.
I think my 8-year-old had the best time. He literally said the next morning after our first night of playing that his stomach was sore. If you’re one of those parents who get offended easily…you should definitely get this game and learn to loosen up a bit. We need to be able to laugh, especially nowadays. And if we can’t do that with our kids, then who can you do that with. Great game and will be recommending it to all of my friends. (by Chris)

We opened up this game less than 24 hours ago, and my kids have played it at least 10 times now, with my husband and I participating a few times as well. It has so much re-playability since it’s really never the same game each time you play, and requires the addictive sort of problem-solving style critical thinking that rewards both kids and adults with a sense of pride in their cognitive skills. I was skeptical about this game because it sounded just like others (Golf, Uno, etc.), but while it is similar, it’s not the same, and I find it to be more fun than games like Uno. It’s straightforward in concept, but fun, and it moves quickly. It is easy enough for our six-year-old to play, but it is intriguing enough for adults to love it. It has quickly become one of our favorite games and was the first choice requested by family members on the latest camping trip. READ MORE(by Indigo)

Trouble Game – still the best family board games 2020
In this day and age of video games and cell phone apps, it is great to go to one of the retro games from my childhood and show the young kids how much fun it was. This game is great because you can learn the rules in a few minutes and the set up is a cinch. Just put your colored pegs in the correct color-coded slots, and you are ready for the best part of the game- the popper. I used to love the satisfying click of pushing it and seeing the dice tumble. Getting that number you need is a tiny thrill, or getting to send an opponent back is worth a laugh or two. READ MORE BY by BDT
Game Of Life
The Game of Life game is full of surprises. You get to choose a path for life, and you are in for a life of action, adventure, and surprises. This game is great for 2 to 4 players. It is an amazing best family board games 2020
In our house, we like to play family games instead of our kids sitting on electronics all the time. Monopoly wasn’t the biggest hit, so I figured I’d try the Game of Life as a fun way to talk about money and the choices we make in life. The game moves so much faster than monopoly, so the kids stayed engaged. It was also more fun for them with bright cards, adding marriage and children, going back to college, etc. This was a big hit in our house. BY Saadia
Get your family together for a Dice-rolling‘ battle game. This game includes 5 dice and a shaker (that doubles as a storage case), and Yahtzee comes with 100 scorecards Definitely, one of the best family board games 2020.
I realized this classic game was missing from my family’s collection. After buying it thinking it would be good for family game nights, my father (who I hadn’t realized had never played before) quickly discovered it and caught on very fast. 3 hours later, I quickly realized this brings out our competitive side, and neither of us was willing to let the other win. Round after round after round, we quickly became big fans of this classic all over again! I’ve created a monster because now, as soon as my dad comes over, his first words are, “do you want to play Yahtzee?” BY Jess the Mess
Met UNO 5 decades ago when I got to America=Chicago & was live-in Nanny to 2 boys & 2 girls when tells were black & white, all the while working an office 9-5er. Then found a ragged rubber-banded set at Goodwill when my own kids were ready for reading numbers & letters & consequences… & now, at last, Son’s Son is old enough to play! It takes Grama to show him the way to a boisterous game w/UNsubtle (non-adult) reactions to the cards being played & when I’m quiet; I’m watching generations at play. I grew up playing scrabble and always loved it. Sadly my daughter recently told me that we seriously dropped the ball in her board game education. Amazon to the rescue, I ordered the game, and it was delivered the very next day. I can happily say we have played many games of scrabble, and she loves it just as much as I do.
The board is a little flimsy, but you have to be careful. I love the drawstring bag to keep the letters in, and the plastic letter stands work just as good as the old wooden ones. BY LYNN
I remember playing Clue as a kid, and it was pretty fun even though we were almost certainly playing it wrong. Now, picking up a copy for just a few dollars, this is a blast to play with my children. Most of the familiar characters are there: Col Mustard, Prof Plumb… Mrs. White is missing, but there are some new faces as well.
Yes, the theme is solving a murder mystery, but it’s still very family-friendly. The outcome is selected randomly, but that doesn’t make it any less fun when one of the people playing the game turns out to be guilty. 🙂 READ MORE BY D CHANTRY GILBERT

It’s in the Bag!
It’s in the Bag! is like playing charades on Steroids! This incredibly popular and new party game builds on the classic acting game and makes all your Party Dreams Come True!

Amazing Review (1 Of 748/ 4.6 Stars)
Great party game! I finally found a game that my dad, who doesn’t like many games, was raving about. He kept saying, “That was an enjoyable game!” It was easy to learn, we laughed a ton, and I’m excited to play it in a big group with people who might not be as interested in a complex, strategic game. I have a big family with many non-gamers, but I am confident they will like it! Although it is simple, it had fun twists that build each round. (Joseph G. Ballstaedt)
That’s what she said
This game is as twisted as your mind wants it to be. Play with different friends for wildly different outcomes! This is great played at bachelor or bachelorette parties, ladies night out, holiday parties, college reunions, and 21st birthdays
There’s not much in our house that you can say without someone coming back with, “That’s what she said.” So when I heard about this game, I KNEW we had to have it. We brought it along to a party with friends, and it was a huuuuuge hit. We all had tears we were laughing so hard (the people you play with make a difference!).
I would maybe even dare say it’s better than Cards Against Humanity. While CAH comprises a variety of different humor–political, slapstick, innuendo, etc., That’s What She Said is aaaaallll innuendo–which makes for a lot of laughs. We’ve found there are not many “throw-away” cards that you play so you can rid of the–many cards make great pairs with each other. I definitely plan on buying some expansion packs now! This game is more mind-bending and crazy than you think. Don’t let the cuteness fool you. This game is by far the most competitive and fun party game to play with friends!! The special cards mess with your mind! Pros: hours of fun, cute drawing style, unique packaging, easy to play. Cons: may result in red hands, a strain of voice from intense playing. (by Hani)

Throw Throw Burrito
Throw Burrito is the world’s first dodge ball card game! The game’s object is to collect matching sets of cards faster than your opponents while ducking, dodging, and throwing squishy airborne burritos at the same time. Clear some space and put away the breakables, because you’ve never played a family game night like these best games for families to play together before.
Amazing Review (1 Of 829 / 4.7 Stars)
We have had this game for roughly three days now and have played Throw Throw Burrito every night since receiving it in the mail. My family has multiple closets full of games, and this is our favorite, hands down, better than Pictionary, Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, Operation, Jenga, Boggle, Scrabble, ConnectFour, Checkers, Chinese Checkers, Othello, Romeo and Juliet, the Tempest, Hamlet, and The Two Gentlemen of Verona combined. Let me be clear: This…game…kicks…BURRITO. First of all, it’s simple. You keep five cards in hand at all times and draw from a pile and discard into another as fast as you can, to make matching sets. Everyone draws and discards at the same time, and usually, the game is a giant mess. Second, you throw burritos at each other. You heard me. READ MORE BY (by Light Junkie)
Watch Ya’ Mouth
Imagine your family’s silly faces while they try to say “warm beef meatballs” While wearing cheek retractors/mouthpieces! Top selling, original, award-winning party card game: this game is one of the best games for families to play together ON FAMILY game night.
This game is hilarious! The kids and adults were both laughing so hard I’m surprised no one peed their pants! This game is great! The only downfall is, once you’ve gone through the cards, you can pretty much guess what they’re saying. We tried making new cards, but then one person knew all of the cards, making it no fun for them. Maybe, next time, we’ll all make cards so the guessing can continue. Hopefully, that will fix the ONLY issue. Have fun!!! Pro-tip, floss, and brush your teeth before you play! Your friends will see EVERYTHING. Oh! And bring napkins ? by
